Introducing the Earth Friendly Subaru Indiana Automotive Plant

The Subaru automotive plant in Indiana is the first auto plant in America to be designated a wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation. The 832 acre campus is home to many species including deer, coyotes, beaver and blue heron. In 2004, our earth friendly Indiana plant achieved zero-landfill status. 99% of all waste is recycled with the remaining one percent converted into electricity; the Subaru automotive plant produces less waste than the average household! Subaru runs a green operation and works to conserve our planet's natural resources by progressing under the "recycle, reduce, reuse" mantra.

At the Maita Subaru dealership in Sacramento, new Subaru's are given a global warming and smog score, on a scale of 1-10. This allows our customers to make green friendly, environmentally aware choices when choosing their new Subaru. While your Subaru will last a long time, we want the environment to last even longer.
